    How to use your Bible:

    The Bible is divided into...
-- The Old Testament and the New Testament
--Within these two large divisions, there are
many BOOKS of the bible (ie. Psalms,
                    Genesis, Matthew)
-- Each book is divided into chapters
--and small parts of chapters are then
                    numbered into verses. These are
                    sometimes single sentences, parts of
sentences or a couple of sentences
                   numbered for easy, specific referencing.

For instance, Isaiah 55:2-3 is read as:
the book of Isaiah chapter 55, verses 2 through 3
